Frequently Asked Questions

What is it like?
With the exception of Baby Boulevard, all classes include a time of worship through music filled with energy and instruments, a story time cenetered on Scripture, small group time that compels the children to interact with and apply truth to their lives, followed by craft time and snacks.

Who is with my children?
We are thrilled to have so many volunteers who are passionate about felecting the love and truth of Jesus to your children.  Each adult and student volunteer is screened with PSOR and ICHAT background checks.  Additionally, references are sent out on each volunteer.  We do this because we value your children, so we take their protection sriously.
Within each class the following are placed: a Room Captain who oversees the classroom for the morning, 1 - 2 Shepherds who take genuine interest in the children and lead the small time each week, a Storyteller who creatively teaches the children, and a Worship Leader who leads the children in worship. Our incredible volunteers in Crossroads Kids care deeply about your children and are strongly committed to their spiritual development.

How do I register my child?
When you arrive on Sunday morning, enter the right entrance of Walker Charter Academy where you will find our friendly Crossroads Kids Welcome Team. They will check-in your child and walk you and your child to the appropriate classroom.  There you will be introduced to your child's Room Captain and Shepherds.  All guests are given a temporary nametag with an ID# so you can be reached if needed. If you decide to make Crossroads your home church, a permanent nametag with ID# will be created with your photo on the reverse, allowing only you to pick up your child from Crossroads Kids. This designated number will be shown in The Gathering Place if you are needed while your child is in Crossroads Kids.
